“Real Marriage”- Starts January 22

Pastor Yeshua Stathos will be teaching a Sunday morning series based on Mark Driscoll’s new book “Real Marriage”. We will follow up Sunday sermons on Wednesday nights with short videos of Mark and his wife Grace of Mars Hill Church in Seattle and then apply the Biblical truths of marriage in UFC tribe community groups. Pick up your copy of the new book “Real Marriage” at the info counter. It will encourage, enlighten, and equip you in your romantic relationship whether you are married or single.

Marriage is a wonderful gift, but it takes work, growth in Christ and patience to love the other more than ourselves. Single individuals will be ahead of the curve after hearing these truths that will transform their dating life and shape their future marriage.

Tri-Tip French Dips- After 2nd service

No need to cook or mess up your kitchen! This Sunday our Youth group is serving tri-tip sandwiches to raise money for Winter Camp this Sunday. $4.00 per lunch. All proceeds go the kids to help pay for this life changing experience!

UFC Kids presenting “Tour of Bethlehem”

Join us this Wednesday night at 5:15 for a ham dinner with all the fixin’s. Parents please bring your kids to Patio Room around 4:45. We will bring them down to eat dinner with their families at 5:15 and then excuse them to their sets at 5:40. Program starts at 6:00 p.m. Please bring a dessert to share. Drop off on the Dessert Cart on your way in to the sanctuary.

Youth Winter Camp Fundraiser-

This Sunday, Dec. 18th following 2nd service, the youth group will be serving Tri-Tip French Dip Sandwich Lunches for $4.00 each. All proceeds go to help kids go to Hume Lake Winter Camp. A life changing experience!

Sabra and Becky have collected the names of the Calvary Sunday School kids who are in need of Christmas presents. These are families that are struggling with finances, unemployment, recent loss of death in the family, single parent households and more. If you would like to let Sabra and Becky take care of the shopping, gift cards and/or donations are acceptable. Just drop it in the offering box with the Family# on it. The gifts will be hand picked and wrapped with love!

A SUCCESS! Thank you Chris and Sabra Hoyle and Sutter Creek Tribe for hosting a beautiful fun filled evening of community and fellowship! The float was the best one yet and over 1000 UFC Free Meal tickets were handed out. Watch out Amador County, Calvary Chapel is Uniting Families and Community for CHRIST!

Urgent Need- Help

Hello Calvary,

URGENT NEED: Single mother in our church body has been flooded out of her apt in Jackson! She and HER 2 SMALL CHILDREN have to temporarily live in an UNHEATED, & UNFURNISHED EMPTY apartment in Ione, for the month of December. She has NO FOOD, NO CHRISTMAS TREE, and NO GAS to get to work. The apartment is not liveable and her belongings are in storage. PLEASE bring items to the church tonight and Sunday to help make this apartment liveable. We will have a table set up in the hallway. We need FOOD, BLANKETS, PILLOWS, POTS, PANS, PLUG IN HEATERS, TOILETRIES, TOWELS, SHEETS, CHAIRS, she needs everything. Monetary Donations can be dropped in the offering box …with a note in the memo line. Thank You Calvary!!Let’s pull together and give this family a home so they can have a CHRISTMAS.

Calvary Chapel…..It’s HAPPENING, take a look!

Sign up for a Trunk…..PLEASE!

Trunk n Treat is a HUGE gift to Amador County. Every year over five hundred people bring their families and enjoy a fun-filled, family friendly and safe environment to trick or treat in. This year we are serving a free dinner It is definitely our biggest outreach of the year. In order to provide this event for the community we need 50 decorated trunks. As of today we only have 21 trunks. The church will help with candy if you can bring the trunk! Please sign up to decorate a trunk by commenting below. We are trying to get a final headcount so if you are thinking about decorating a trunk please let us know asap. Trunks must be ready and decorated by 5:00 p.m. (5:15 at the latest). Candy donations are needed as well.

Uniting the Family for Christ-

This Wednesday night the PUMPKIN PATCH is open! Families will be doing makeovers on their pumpkins and entering them into the Pumpkin Fashion Show. Join us as we launch the ”BASIC” series- with video highlights of Francis Chan and live UFC teachers. Dinner: Pot Roast over noodles, salad, and cheesecake.

Operation Christmas Child

1st – 4th grade Sunday School is raising donations for Operation Christmas Child. Please drop off your donations at the bins provided in the lobby and Sunday school room. Take a look at this heartwarming video to see this beautiful ministry in action!

What: Prayer Walk @ Calvary Chapel

When: October 1, 2011

Time: 7am – 7pm

Purpose: To pray over the campus, buildings, to pray for the Body, the Leadership and the ministries that take place on the site!

How: Just come any time during that day & check in at the Information table where you’ll be given a map & a list of the different ministries, etc. to pray for.

God desires to bless His body & He has afforded us the privilege to pray–a way to

partner with Him in His work.
